Thanks! By the way here is my time line:

24 December 2003 - Married
22 January 2004 - Apply for AOS
19 Feberuary 2004 - Received receipt and note saying AOS in Philly was taking about 15 months...

AOS in Philadelphia

I had my AOS interview yesterday. It lasted all of about 25 minutes (10 of those were him photocopying documents).

It went like this. Arrived at 8:30am for 9am interview. We had to wait outside...

Anyone who thinks that it doesn't happen in the UK is very naive indeed.
Apparently 2 women a week die in the UK as a result of domestic violence. Stabbing seems to be the method in a lot of cases....

Wow, really? I didn't know this and have never seen it in the US at all. I do, however, like the rule that you can (usually) turn right on a red light.

all the stop signs are ridiculous but if they didn't have them people would just pull straight out like they do at "yield" signs. They should definitely have the UK "Give Way" signs - maybe they'd...

I did mine by e-filing - took 70 days. Mine too is valid from the expiry of my previous one - I think they are all like that now.

Something my husband told me and I said he had to be joking. I don't care if it is bad manners - rather that then sniff for ages. I have seen lots of people blow their nose here though.

I hae a PA driving license. I drove for nearly a year on my UK licence. You need to go to a DMV office in PA and get a learner's licence - for that you need to take a written test (on computer). ...

I guess that's why he wouldn't divorce her then - so he can stay her next of kin. I find it appalling that it has always been the same judge (Judge Greer) that has resided over all the local court...

I still want to know why her estranged husband has all the right to say whether she lives or dies. He lives with another woman and has two children by this woman. I have been lots of court...
