Why not hang onto them and rent them out for a steady income?

I don´t think so, delays and cancelled flights due to strikes are more of a deterrant to coming to Spain than bulls, donkeys and other animal rights issues put together.

I am not talking about perfection, but just a general rule I always thought (I could be wrong, though) that the "Singluar you" is not used in this context.

Why would people disbelieve the government?

It does not make sense, as the Spanish gov. has always been upfront, honest, never broken promises and always puts the citizens first.
