Re: FSW 2013 - processing times

Thanks for your advice. If it was me needing to do the test that's what I'd do, too. Unfortunately, my partner doesn't want to even think about the IELTS test until all his research/lab stuff is out...

Re: FSW2 Applications 2013

O right, I just assumed you already had a LMO as I was under the impression that every job offer needed to have the LMO attached to it for visa purposes, my bad.

Don't suppose the IEC (working...

Re: FSW confusion

Oh yes I've heard about the EOI idea, quite like it to be honest, especially as it means that those with a higher point score get processed quicker than others (at least that's how it works in Oz). ...

Re: FSW 2013 - processing times

Thanks for that, just found the processing time info on the WES website too!

We'd be applying under 2113 Geoscientists, CIC website says 10 applications so far. I would guess that the total of...

Re: FSW confusion

Can I just ask where you got the information from that the list may change again this year? I thought they only did it once a year so assumed we'd be fine until next May? Argh, I hate waiting for a...

Re: FSW 2013 - processing times

Oh that's good news, sounds like the processing times are definitely being reduced then. I just googled PER and it came up as Positive Eligibility Review; so, does that mean that everything is okay...

Re: FSW2 Applications 2013

Just a thought, couldn't you get a TWP and wait for your PR to come through whilst already working on the TWP?

Re: FSW confusion

That's great, thank you so much for all that information. We still haven't quite made up our mind if we want to go back to Australia or give Canada a try. As I'm quite familiar with the Oz system by...

Re: Potential UK Grad moving to Canada

You don't need to have studied in Canada to get PR, there are lots of different ways to gain PR status. I would personally recommend doing a Masters in the UK or just gaining a few years work...

Re: FSW confusion

Thank you Siouxie! Does lengthy still mean around 2 years? I'm sure I read somewhere when the new list/FSW programme was introduced that they were trying to reduce processing times?

I guess we...

Re: FSW confusion

I think I've found out what to do with regards to the skills assessment, it looks like we need to do this before we submit the application. Could anyone confirm that's right?

Also, if anyone has...

I was just wondering whether the changes to the FSW programme have resulted in a change of visa processing times at all? Anyone know what a realistic waiting time is under the revised...

Re: H2B/Green Card Lottery/Intra Company Transfer

Thank you for your quick reply!
