We sent in the original passport and we did receive it back in the mail. If you search around on the border agency web site there is a e-mail for information and I did find a phone number somewhere...

For the future information of anyone who is required to renounce their UK citizenship. We received the renunciation confirmation paperwork almost exactly one month after we submitted it to the UKBA....

That's what I think also but there is no other information about time line concerning renunciations only. I'm hoping someone on here will have some better information.

Since he just joined we're hoping they place him in a hold status but they're saying if it's going to take to long they will not. Right now there is no funding for the military and they cut corners...
