I got a closed work permit at the border last year, using the bcpnp certificate and support letter, my Iec had already expired though and I applied online to be a visitor though, maybe that's it.

It took about 4 days for me, it was pretty quick, I noticed the decision made and then 4 or so days later I had an email asking for passport photos and a copy of the passport

bc pnp approved may 13th 2014(they didn't send it until the 26th though)

PR app received in NS July 8th 2014

I got the passport request email today, which is nice, now I have to send them in 2 pictures and a copy of the passport, hopefully everything will be sorted soon.

you need to get approved by the bc pnp programme.After I recieved the approval pack in the post I took the certificate and support letter they gave me and went to the border and got a work permit...

I think as long as you get the online application to change your status to a visitor before your current permit expires then you would be on implied visitor status until a decision on it was made.....

I think a few people have been getting the medical and AOR very close together, I got my medical request the same day as the AOR and I have read a few other fellows who were similar(not express entry...
