I've checked that out, you can get a security licence on a temporary visa, thats no problem.

You just need to have your police clearance cert with you.

Thank you for your reply. I was a police officer back home but cannot apply at the moment due to needing to be a permanent resident. Hence looking at security.

It asks for the visa start date. I have been informed that our sponsored sub-457 should take 6-8 weeks to process once submitted. Should I estimate a start date for the policy....
