Those who do not want to receive private messages /mail can turn off the facility. If one leaves it on then I assume, like me, one does not mind.

If you have any property (assets) in Spain, if you reply on a British Will there will be considerable legal fees to get translations etc.

I don't how burial arrangements are affected either...

I just called Lloyd's TBS on 01733 347 007.

Only people Resident in UK can open accounts in UK.

Is there any ambiguity there?

It would seem that Barclay's and Lloyds TSB say the same on the phone as they do on their web sites, No apparent...

They said Only those RESIDENT in UK can open an account in the UK.

They did say I could open an OFF SHORE account either in Gib or maybe in...

If you mean the tax brought in, in the 80's by Margaret Thatcher, it was Community Charge, not Poll Tax. That was a Left Wing slur to discredit it

The difference is:- if one is taking up residence in UK then you can open an account. If you are not, you cannot.

That is:- one must be resident in UK, not just have an 'address' or property...

We have 4.4. Usual appliances plus AC / heating.

But, as I said, they do open private accounts too, as Gib is off shore. That applies also to the branches of UK banks and building societies there (Leeds, Norwich and Peterborough, Newcastle,...

Gib is off-shore, they (all I guess) open accounts for non residents, if the didn't they would not have a reason to exist.
