Re: Where to start?!

Charlotte is in North Carolina not South Carolina. School statewide are very poor in national ranking-- it is usually SC or Mississippi that is 50th in ranking each year. Best of luck to you...

Re: Relocation from California - where should we live? HELP!

Well I would not recommend Charleston, SC even though I was born and raised here. The airport's landing fees are some of the most expensive in the nation and those fees are tacked on to tickets...

Re: 'Merica - now they're gunning down reporters

I totally agree about the "collateral damage" line of thought. There is a pin on Pinterest that said something to the effect of "there is no fight about gun control in America. When we as a nation...

Two of my co-workers lost three family members; there was a grief counselor present today. For everyone debating the "insanity defense" SC is one of the few states that has "guilty but mentally...

Re: Potential relication from UK to Charleston SC...monthly living costs

Summerville may be a bit more expensive than other areas in the tri-county area because it has the very desirable "Dorchester District II" school district. I graduated from that district. ...

Re: Disability in the U.S

The disability decision is usually carried out by state gov't workers and the decision is then sent to the federal SSA field office. The official definition of "disability" for that program is that...

Re: I-864 dependent question

I used to work with the elderly blind training them on adaptive aids. She can simply have the signature line folded so that it leaves a raised crease in the paper and the person uses muscle memory...

Re: Healthcare Ins. Dilemma

It depends on the emergency. In April I had a kidney stone while in Harrogate. Every doctor and nurse we asked said " this is an emergency, you won't be charged.". However the following month I...

Re: TSA pre check

My parents are over a certain age and get that on their boarding pass. Like you, they don't have to remove coat/shoes. Maybe you are thinking of global visa that is a fee based thing?

Re: IV granted despite criminal conviction/deportation

How did your father naturalize? Was he deported too ( if he was the one to bring you in illegally)? I was just very surprised that you didn't have any bumps in the road so to speak.

Re: Le Grand Depart -- or "On Yer Bike, Luv"

My in-laws live in Harrogate and told me that the roads would be closed into town for two days due to this. When we were there in April there were pictures of bikes carved into trees near the Stray.

Re: 90 days condition to Marry K1 Visa

I don't believe that you can because the reason the K1 visa was issued would then be null and void. My husband entered the US on a K1, but we've been married over eleven years now and certain things...
