Fairly sure, but I'm not going to be guaranteeing anything! With the sheer volume of people going through Sharjah, I don't know anyone who has been stopped, so I'd suggest it's not a major issue.

I was told last week that there are something like only 30,000 current licences in circulation in Dubai. It only nets the gov't something like 160 aed per licence, so really what is the point?

To be fair, it's not that bad, and has friendly locals and beautiful scenery, just the flights are at a ridiculous time it makes the whole trip a right pain in the arse...
