Yep - it was easy to make a claim with 21st Century when a piece of metal got flung up and into our car on the interstate...........cost me $500 excess though as couldn't stop to get anyones details...

Not sure if its true for US Airways - but I think with BA miles if you need to cancel reward flights you get the miles back and the tax back as you haven't flown.............perhaps check on the US...

Most definitely - however my family doesn't ring each other after 9pm so anything after that always worries me (very annoying when your wife's family thinks 10pm is a good time to start calling...

We did exactly the same as you 2 years ago and used "petairuk". They were great. We took the cat to Heathrow and picked up the cat at the other end at JFK and it cost about £600 ("silver service").

Thanks Sally - We drove our cat to the airport and picked her up from JFK when we flew her over here (it was a little more stressful but saved about $400)
