Well, it’s getting to that time in my life, and I'm sure this has been asked umpteen times before.

Does anyone have recommendations for firms that understand both UK and US tax laws and can...

I became a very proud USC in November...

Re: US Citizenship questions n400

I would agree, it's easy and tempting to overthink it, I fell into the same trap. Frankly having the LPR status for a few years, keeping my nose clean, and paying my taxes was all that mattered with...

Re: Advice on how to find sponsorship

It's difficult, but not impossible, to find a company willing to sponsor you for an H-1B "on-spec". That's the route I took, I just kept on applying and applying until someone said 'yes'. You need...

Re: British Style Brass Bands in the US

Thank you!

I've heard good things about Houston. A new band was recently formed in San Antonio, which took 1st prize in the 1st section on its first contest.

Re: What are my options?

Are you a musician? I know of two people in brass bands (one tuba player and one conductor) who were granted Green Cards under the 'individuals of extraordinary ability' route.

Re: H1-B to Greencard

It's to cover their backs that they've done due diligence to ensure you're not taking a job from a US citizen or LPR since it's a new LPR application even though you already have an H-1B. Yes it...

Re: Adjustment of status (Green card) how long?

I submitted my AOS in November 2015 and my LPR/GC came through last month. It takes time under most circumstances.

Re: Computer programmer? No H-1B for you!

Last weekend I had a success borne out of months of work by taking the British style brass band that I conduct to the North American Brass Band championships and winning our section.

You may well...

Re: I-485 RFE: "birth document does not name parents"
