Default I-485 RFE: "birth document does not name parents"

Hey forumers,
After an approved I-140 in January, USCIS has issued this RFE for my I-485. Just one problem - they're wrong

Quoth the USCIS:
“The birth document you provided is not sufficient because it is an abridged or “short form” document that does not name your parents."

The submitted birth document actually does clearly state my parents' names. So it seems like a simple enough mistake on their part. While my legals prepare their response, I'm just curious, has anyone else had a similar "huh?" moment from them?

NVC sent me an RFE wanting a police certificate from the Netherlands Antilles! I've never even visited the place. The country doesn't even exist any more.

My wife received no NOA2 from USCIS, but received notice from NVC of approved petition.

USCIS had no idea how this could have occured as their system said they were still adjudicating. Obviously they weren't as it had been sent to the NVC.

Still got my visa in the end.

Your lawyers should advise you to resubmit, they will write a suitable covering letter. That's what happened to me when given an RFE which asked for 5 pieces of information that had already been sent. We just sent it again with the covering letter.
