Ps, in reply to OP, Reading is safe. Just watch town centre weekend nights, or certain parts of Whitley or Oxford Rd day or night! Again, much like any other town of its size!

Just moved back to Reading area after 4 yrs living in Brisbane & Sydney. Reading is typical uk town, with usual chain shops, bars etc - the train link to London is the big draw as are the suburbs,...

We used Chess removals to move from Brisbane - South East UK in November last year - 20ft full packing and unpacking service - It was $6,500 and was really quick, about 6 weeks. Recommended.

Good point, but not 100% sure how we go about finding out who their landlords are. I will ask our buildings manager but wonder if they will divulge this sort of info..?? We have property back home...

Yeh, we rent via the buildings manager of our complex - they are aware of the issues but those causing the problems rent via a different agent which seems to be making things more difficult.
