Friend just moved to New Plymouth - that seems to tick a lot of boxes.

I think this is fair enough. I'd have thought it reasonable to have to meet a 20 year rule even if the reciprocal agreement didn't apply. Would think that a person receiving a pension in a country...

Employer is currently contributing 10% of my wage. If I joined kiwisaver, their contribution would have to be split down to 7% and they'd pay 3% into my kiwisaver. I'd get the government...
