In regards to tumble dryers, fridges, washing machines etc, you can bring them to Australia. The only thing you will need to do when you get here is to have the plugs changed over unless you buy some...

When you consider importing your car to Oz, things to remember:
Apply for import permit BEFORE you pack ans send it. Take photos of your compliance plate, go to DOTARS web site and complete forms...

Don't do it! As from experience, herbs and spices, depending on what they are, will be destroyed by Australian Quarantine on arrival. Also if packing any other food stuffs, have a look on the label...
