What - a week and a half!!!???!!!

Well that’s it...........we are at the week and a half point!

The move has been great and we are loving the new start. Daunted – yes but then again it is a move to the other side of the world...

This was all sorted out through our travel agent... she called them and even sent them copies of our VISA to allow them to check it themselves.....they came back saying 40kgs was fine and allowed but...

Agree with this - we have the details of the luggage allowance in the conditions on our invoice showing full payment... plus the contact name and number of the agent at Singapore Airlines who agreed...

For us - Singapore out of Heathrow - we managed to get 40kgs allowance each and it was about £1,500 total for the three of us...

If you are booking through an agent - make sure they price match...

We found that the "threat" of moving to another agent earned us a gold plated service for a few weeks in which time we had two offers on the same day :eek: and it came down to who had the bigger...

It will probably depend on the company but we have had 15 boxes (including two toy chests) collected by the guys at Anglo Pacific last week and the shipping plus insurance and delivery is £780 -...

Fair point - we have actually got great flight times on Singapore - noon departure from Heathrow 2 hrs in Singapore and 1500 landing in Perth! Hopefully we will be...

We have flown Emirates a few times now and I completly agree with your comments about both legs - not sure what it is about the 2nd leg but the plane does "seem" older :confused:

We moved out on Friday and into a friends spare room for the next 6 weeks before we fly!

Typical moving day dramas with an emergency call-out plumber required...

We have flown Emirates several times and really do love flying with them and to date have never had a bad trip.... this time however they are nearly £800...
