Shipping BACK to the UK.

Anyone just given up and returned home? Are there the same problems shipping your stuff back as there are coming the other way.

My bill was from Georgetown Fire Dept EMS. They billed $1100. My insurance paid $450 and I got balance billed for the rest.

I’m sending my dad in England my old iPad.
Does anyone have experience of the best shipping method that isn’t going to get him stung with customs charges.

Santander won't accept a number that isn't from an established mobile provider. I have a number from Telos that takes calls and SMS but Santander's system will not recognise the number.

From October Singapore Airlines switch their Houston-Moscow flight to Houston-Manchester.

It's available wide open dates through to next summer for $606 all in. That's a great deal.

I just got my pension forecast. It says I have 40 years of contributions.

I'm 50 and have lived here almost exactly 10 years. According to that I paid since the age of 10. It was bloody hard...

I only ever went to one auction, on the steps of the county courthouse. There were a ton of hopeful people there but the banks won every foreclosure. Never bothered going again.
