I had to pay 20p today to use a public convenience in Ilkley. Outrageous!

Aye I can remember t'day when taking a dump cost me only a brass penny. It's coomin to summat when a man has ter pay a small fortune to answer the call o' nature. It were all Maggie Thatchers fault when she coom out with that bog tax back in 73.

Kiddo was at an outdoor concert this weekend here in Houston. One of the 'young ladies' in front of him pee'd in a cup and threw it over a railing, no 20c for her!

Found Shipley to be more civilized. Free to get in and a request to leave a voluntary donation of a suggested 20p.

The public toilets in our downtown area are free. I've never yet seen any public toilets during my travels in this country which weren't free. Some get locked up after 10 Pm or so to keep out the homeless and the needle brigade

Try Gare de Nord in Paris for a complete rip of when needing to take a wiz. You need to take a 2nd mortgage for a #2.

Charging 20p is an offence against folk-literature, apart from anything else. When I were a boy... we thought it highly amusing to read the classic "dark" poem of the genre. Anybody else remember it?
Here I sit, broken-hearted:
Paid my penny, and only farted.
Substitute "20p" for "penny" and it doesn't scan properly. Shame!
