We waited about three weeks, but I think everybody is different. Ours was granted just into July after the new year started, so I think we were on hold for that.

Ours just went through the form, quick and easy. They had a sense of humour though, the receptionist asked for a sample from all four of us. My 18 month old lad thought it was hilarious running...

We used the one is Salford in April this year. They were much cheaper than the one in Manchester, seemed fine to us. You do have to go to another centre for xrays, but it was only a five minute drive...

Thanks for all the replies, we've finally done it and booked with a stop in Singapore.

Just got to sort the rest of the things out now, home.....school.....shipping...banking....etc....etc :eek:

I can't see why they wouldn't let you keep one. We are planning on renting our house out so will need to keep at least one UK account active.

I've checked with SIA and we just need to let them know our flight details and a copy of the visa in advance so they can allow the extra luggage allowance on the Singapore - Sydney flight

Hi Everyone,

We got our visas in July and are looking at booking flights to Sydney in March. The plan is to go with Singapore Airlines and get the extra baggage allowance, but we are unsure...

Hi Sunil,

My understanding is that you are entitled to medicare if you are on a PR visa.

Keep us updated on how the trip to Perth goes, I'll be interested to see what you think of the place.

I thought you had a year to validate from either the PCC or medicals. We have to enter before May 6th, which is a year from PCC.

Seems to be in Sydney for me, although there is some in Melbourne. I think it depends on what you do.
