UK Migration has to stop

You can take some comfort from the fact that the two most anti-immigrant posters on this thread are actually living in Florida and Cyprus.

Hi it's me again from sunny Cyprus.
I have lived all over the world. Every time that I returned to the UK I was unsettled by the mass of IMMIGRANTS. These were from several countries.
I was born in rural Lincolnshire on a farm. On business I travelled all over the UK. On entering Cities such as Bradford and Leicester I was confused. I thought I was back in Asia. In parts of London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and several other Cities the police will not enter. Why? because of the ehtnic minority (as they are called) make it too dangerous.
Here in Cyprus most of our friends are from various countries, including Sweden, Germany, Syria and of course Cypriots. We still mix with a few UK people but do not live in a UK society type establishment.
Hope this helps to let you know where I am coming from.

"Too dangerous!!! for the police"--- you are being ridiculous. I was born and 'raised' in rural Norfolk but our UK home now is in the Midlands, I have travelled frequently in Birmingham --all areas. Our son lives in Leicester --not because he is a "minority" but because he and his wife (a totally pukka white person) like it there.
I think you have let us know where you are coming from.

thats the bit people don't get, isn't it.........they are one of the millions of IMMIGRANTS that they keep moaning about

Last time i was home I was in Birmingham and Coventry for a few days, i have family there. They are still decent UK cities with police on the streets and people of many nationalities all living together. i spend a lot of time in north London and its multi-cultural but how the heck I am supposed to know if they are immigrants, i have no idea. Many of the people there open their mouths and speak in a true London accent - regardless of their colour, dress etc.
I'd be interested to know what test some people use to tell whether the people they encounter are immigrants ( or should that be IMMIGRANTS) or have lived there all their lives.....

I don't think I apply a test. But, paradoxically, in my experience people who are 'anti-immigrant' are often blind to how many immigrants are actually in their community; because they don't class lots of white people who are immigrants as immigrants.
One example of an immigrant invisible to the 'antis' is my husband, a Canadian. Another would be my neighbour, an Italian who has lived in the UK for most of her life. My small rural community also includes a Latvian German who has lived here since 1945, a distinguished Indian environmentalist, our Irish GP, a Frenchwoman, an American, and probably more, all of whom are overlooked by the anti-immigrant brigade.

What is disputed here is your view that "the millions" already here have apparently ruined our/your life.

I don't think anyone on this Forum disputes the fact that the UK needs border controls and to make decisions as to how many immigrants of whatever nationality of origin come into the country, we are an island with a limit in land space.

Hopefully me too but are we exempted because we have British Roots and married to Brits and totally self-sufficient?
