Watched a documentary the other day where they stated that the NHS treated 1.5 million, yes million, patients everyday. If that figure is correct, I wonder if it can continue to be funded in its present form and/or will services suffer in quality due to demand.

The following links should give cause for concern..........

Old folks with limit funds for heating.

The people of Somerset, and other areas, who have been affected by the floods.

People suffering from S.A.D.

Quite a few when you come to think of it. , but I take your point.

I do . . . I don't have a car, I have to walk half a mile to catch buses, and even further for the shops. Bus shelters are scant, and in the strong wind at the seaside umbrellas are blown inside out.

Rain day after day isn't the best, but although I didn't like the extreme heat of an Australian summer, some warm sunshine and blue skies here would be welcome.

As for sodden, my area is full of trees, and the roads and pavements are sodden with slippery slushy leaves. On hilly ground it is dangerous for those of us who are older.

Give me this weather anyday, when I hear from friends in Brisbane that it has been 40 odd degrees and now they are getting floods we have nothing to complain about really. We have lots of lovely sunny days as I'm sure they do in most parts of the country.

Car production in the UK reached a 6 year high with 1.5 million cars coming off the production line, one every 20 seconds. More positive news for the economy.

How many of them were made by companies that aren't owned by Americans, Germans or Indians though?

I doubt Noble or Morgan are putting out that many cars

Regardless of what your views are on the drug laws, it was a crime, it wasn't reported, it contributed to the disinformation on the crime statistics.

Tip of the iceberg,

I've always been amazed how the gullible, which is probably the masses, can be manipulated by government stats.

Did people really believe that unemployment was coming down when disability claims where rising?

Do people really believe that students are better educated than previous generations just because 'O' levels & 'A' levels, and graduates are at record levels?

You're being manipulated. You can accepted it if it makes you feel good, you can lay down and die if you don't care, or you can question it, if you want to know more, but ffs don't gloat over every bit of government spiel that rocks your personal boat.

Other wise: will come in through the ears and will come out. Usually from an orifice from the nether regions.
