Oh goodness!!!

Imagine if every problem within the UK was excused by saying, "Well it happens in Australia/USA or wherever."

Talk about the UK, it's a UK forum, discussing UK problems, UK benefits, UK living. To keep running back to the old mantra, "Oh it happens in ******" is a cop out.

Because it happens somewhere else doesn't make it acceptable in the UK.

If that was the case......... well the place really would in dire straits.

Now who is grasping at straws?....

I have been talking about the UK and it's health service.....but you can't accept that because it is all a bit too positive for you?

I give positive examples and you simply fall back on the "well it is not like that elsewhere in the UK"....and then come up with another negative story you have trawled off the internet

Not the words I used in your quotation marks, and I'm still referring to the UK. Nowhere else. No need to.

On a lighter, more flippant note......

“ Some bombs gone of in London”

“ Don’t worry about it. Happens in Bagdad every day”

“Phew!! That’s alright then. “

*****

“There’s families having to use food banks in the UK”

“Not worth talking about, unless Bob Geldof gets involved”

*****

“What about the influx of immigrants, good or bad thing?’

“Tsk!! Ignore it. You should see the countries bordering Syria.”

*****

“ Peoples wages have gone down, in real terms, by 13%’

“That’s nothing mate. In America they employed people for years and years without giving them a paycheck.”

*****

‘What about all the guns, they seem to be everywhere these days”

“Not compared to WW2”

******
“ OK, can we discuss the UK economy?”

“Only if we can compare it to Zimbabwe.”

Goodnight y'all

This is the review of the GP surgery I was at - not good but it is only one surgery - http://www.nhs.uk/Services/GP/Review....aspx?id=44382

I would assume though that this website could be used to see the feedback for any GP surgery, and may help those that have more than one in their area to make a choice

I'm impressed that the NHS provides that level of information about each and every medical facility.

I put in a few postcodes of areas where I lived and was genuinely and pleasantly surprised at the percentage level of satisfaction. One thing I noticed from this small quota was how the level of satisfaction went down with the number of patients enrolled in the surgery. To be expected I suppose, but once again reflects on the discrepancies of care from one area of the UK to another.

Many thanks for the link.
