The fall in crime is obviously a good thing for everyone in the country, surveys are also showing crime to be falling dramatically and that of course is very welcome. There was a piece on Radio 2 yesterday about this and the reasons for the drop were being discussed. Crime numbers are dropping worldwide in almost all Western economies. One theory that is a little left field is that crime started dropping 20 years after lead was removed from fuel and paint, again this was worldwide. 20 year is how long it takes for the effects to dissipate. There were many reasons for the drop but various non Government people all agreed that crime was most definitely falling, quite dramatically.

Why do you find it difficult to discuss any points raised, negative or positive, in a civil manner? So many of the threads you post in end up with the moderators having to take action, purely down to you 'baiting' other people.

Not sure what you get out of it, what gap it fills in your life, but whatever it is it's extremely infantile and tedious. For your own good, put the box of tissues away and learn to type with two hands.

No more response to you, from me, on this thread unless it's to do with the subject matter.

give a 100 quid to the average person on the street & you'd get a 'why are you giving me this, there must be a catch'

Or ask someone for a 100 (no reason given) and they'd tell you to F'off

Typical Brit one to the other 'isn't it a lovely day today, not a cloud in the sky' - response might be 'yeah but it might rain'

Home town supporter of his team. Time loses a game. <supporter> 'they're no good for nothing - the incompetent stupid manager should be fired'

Manager to employee 'you've been late two days in a row' you have been warned. Employee spouting off ... 'f'ing manager this that & the other who does he/she think they are'

Short video from the BBC giving two different views on the crime figures.

The problem is it just becomes obvious these negative things are posted in a sort of retaliatory way and then it is just a little sad. I'm all for balance in the debates but when every bit of real evidence points to crime falling in literally every Western nation for example it comes down to a kind of I'll show them attitude.

A bit of 'stamp your feet' and 'toys out of the pram'

Sad really....especially where the poster concerned seems to have no intention of returning.

Well yes that is exactly what it is like unfortunately. Its like any good news you post about the UK I can counter it with something negative. I dont get it really.

Well I would hope not really as the poster has shown every now and then he is capable of rising above that.
The ridiculous post was after I had posted about the number of cars built in this country last year, amazingly one leaves a factory every 20 seconds. This is brilliant news for the economy, for jobs and for the numerous component manufacturers around the country. Unfortunately someone saw it as an opportunity to have a dig, it backfired but thats not the point.
