Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
Now I know this will sound quite dry, but I have been watching a really fascinating 3-part 2010 Beeb documentary titled "BBC The Great Offices of State" on Youtube. (I included BBC in the title since that is the exact title on Youtube.)
Part 1 - The Dark Department (aka the Home Office)
Part 2 - Palace of Dreams (aka the Foreign Office)
Part 3 - The Secret Treasury
I can't say that I'm really up on British politics over the last 40 years, having been away for that long, but it gave me an insight that I had not had before, into the events of our fair nation over this period, and delivered it in a very human way through the lives of top officials, especially at key points in history.
Worth watching if you haven't already seen it.

It really drags me out of the show every time he speaks. The woman who plays his girlfriend/now wife has it just right, but Derek just can't get the 't' sound before a word at all.
They just announced another 3 episodes of Sherlock (FINALLY!) will be starting in the UK on New Year's Day. Can't wait to find out how Sherlock faked his own death.

Did they ask him about that awful Yorkshire accent?

Couldn't quite get into the Dr Blake Mysteries but will try again another time.
Sometimes time is of the essence. For instance I really got into watching episodes of Endeavour last night. I had seen one episode a while ago and forgot how well done it is. I like the classical music throughout too.
I have wanted to watch Borgen but Series 1 and 2 are nowhere to be found on the net and I prefer to watch things in sequence. No doubt they are wanting to flog as many DVDs as poss. KCET has series 3 and apparently had run a marathon of series 1 and 2 in July of this year. Might have to consider 'less traditional' means .
I'm running out of things to watch. I know the topic is TV shows but any British movies (especially mysteries) to recommend from Netflix?
