Almost certainly, but a lot of people fly on price, which is why I've
flown via AMS many times.

In the absence of a direct cheap flight between Munich and Morocco, then
maybe a trip via another country is cheaper...

Is there an absence of a direct flight between Munich and Morocco? It seems
unlikely.

I said direct _cheap_ flights, though the absence of either direct
flights or direct cheap flights isn't an impossibility.

It was the cheapest flight I was able to book short term and the only
one whose dates were ok.

There are no direct flights from MUC to either RAK (Marrakech) or CAS
(Casablanca). There are charter flights to Agadir, but it lied far too
away from my planned itinerary and my time was short.

It's OK Alfred, you have a right to travel which ever route you prefer. :-)

You were lucky. I flew from there two weeks before.
I checked in with plenty of time but because I couldn't
take my lunch through security I hung around land side
fo an hour.
I joined the security queue 1.5 hours before my flight and
got to the gate just minutes before they were going to
offload my luggage!
