Anyone that require information can contact our offices.

I would like to say that we are still here and we want to help everyone the company is now run fully by myself with the supervision of the Bank.
Anyone that has an issue i´m sure that can be resolved.

I am new to this (or any) discussion forum, and don't quite understand how 'threads' work, so I will apologize upfront for my errors.

I have joined as, like many, signed a contract to purchase an apartment at Royal Cabanas Golf through YPA as 'investors'. We instructed our Portuguese lawyer to sue for breach of contract (as the delay was a great deal longer than the 5 months grace in the contract), but they didn't 'serve notice'. So, we are at the point were we lose the deposit or buy. But after our numerous dealings with YPA, lawyers in Spain and Portugal, who do we trust? And how do we ensure that everything is legal and above board? (We were told that the lawyer who signed our contract on our behalf, didn't have power of attorney, and our contract is invalid but Duja Portugal will honour it!).

I would like to contact you, JeffG, as you are from my home town, but I can't PM you apparently. Are you able to PM me? Would you be willing to discuss your experience with us? Thanks in advance for reading my posting.

Mistzyboy, just realized that, thanks! I obviously can't receive them either, as I had one PM and I couldn't access it.
PS does this count as 'meaningful'??

This message is for Sue, i am sorry to have caused you to believe that my postings were "spam" the information i was trying to pass onto members of this thread was far to long to explain the links were purely to allow your members to see what the company had been up to in another country. I have nothing to do with the tenerife forum and indeed a link to your forum is on the thread you have chosen not to show your readers. If you do have the time to read the thread yourself you may understand my reason for posting. It is regretable that companies like the ones mentioned will continue to relieve people out of their life savings and break their dreams. Platforms like this can help to expose them. Sorry for inconveniencing you but my motives were honourable. Maria.D.C.

[QUOTE=jeffg;8578061]Not 100% certain but Y.P.A may have gone bust, I think they own or use to own a development near the new church in cabanas thats just nearing completion.
In any case they did not want to know us once they had got the commission on the sale.=]

It would appear that the moderators of this forum are reluctant to allow unencumbered contact between the unfortunate people who are locked in dispute with Your Place Abroad. I have read numerous postings on this thread (many by first time members), I myself have had posts erased because they have been branded "spam". Spamers want to advertise or sell something by devious means, the people who have attempted to glean some sort of legitimate information from other members in the "same boat" do not make posts to "sell" something.
I too am a person who has paid a great deal of money in the hope of owning a dream home in the sun, that dream has become a nightmare because i made the mistake of dealing with Y.P.A. I have tried to help other people in the same position by posting phone numbers and a link to a mirror image forum of this one based in tenerife where two friends of mine are in the same position by THE SAME COMPANY. They have not liquidated as above thought in the above quote, they are actively continuing to ruin peoples dreams and life savings. I urge your moderators to allow a little le-way and not view my post as derogatry, deformative or spam, It isn't, it is concern for fellow victims. Maria.D.C.

Maria, you need to get a grip, please.

You are advertising. You are advertising your cause, and most likely because of your personal involvement. That is fine, and I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, but the topic is being discussed here, as well as at other forums. Membership here doesn't give you any right to drive traffic to another site (sorry, that's just how it goes in internetlandia).

I'd like to hear more though, about how this site is being mirrored elsewhere. That means 'copied' in internet speak. Maybe you meant something else?

If you'd like to discuss your own situation here, you are welcome to. I hope you understand better why you can't join here to post for members to go discuss it somewhere else.

Dear Mr J.D.R.
Why on earth were you reading this thread at all, most of it is made up of posts from people who have been affected by the distastefull actions of a group of companies they trusted with their life savings.
A forum in itself is usually made up of postings that you may not agree with but the poster has a democratic right to post it. You probobly dont understand that so i will simplify an answer to your quote;
I MAY NOT AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAY BUT I AGREE WITH YOUR RIGHT TO SAY IT. I think the BEANO is still published perhaps you may take joy in reading that. Maria.D.C.

The purpose of my post was not for members to join other forums or divert traffic from this one it was quite simply to allow posters who have been affected in portugal/spain to see that the same situation is taking place in tenerife. My reference to "mirror image" was that posting on that site were almost the same in content to those posted here. My apologies for causing so much upset. Maria.D.C.

Don´t try to teach grandad to suck eggs.
I am a member of this site and entitled to read what I like here.
I take a dislike to people that just join to post links to other forums, regardless of the purpose.
It is very disrespectful of the site owners and members of the site.
Despite being asked not to do it by Sue you still continue to whinge on about stuff that should not even be on the site.
How do I know you have a problem with these builders and if you do you should be discussing it with your lawyers not on a website lowering your chance of getting anything resolved by antaganizing everybody with just your side of the story.
Read in between posts 2 and 3. ;);)
And post 467 where the man that runs the company says he will sort problems out for people.

But not just to join to name and shame and poach members off the site.

Got a link to the Beano for me ?:rofl:

PS. sorted the mucked up quote for you too, just to show there are no hard feelings.

Re: CABANAS GOLF DEVELOPERS DUJA

My My Grandad you've really chucked your rattle out of your pram, i had no intention of showing you how to SUCK anything.
I feel like writing in answer to your prickly comment, that your mouth is probobly big enough to suck a dozen eggs but i was brought up to respect my elders, so i won't say it.....
Until i am banished into the wilderness i too am a member of the forum albiet a "newbie" so i couldnt begin to compete with 18,000 posts but i was under the illusion that a member is a member of equal standing not measured by how old you might be or how many postings you have made, you appear to believe that members should only post what you might enjoy reading and nothing more. You state that you have taken an instant dislike to me, does that mean "dinner is out of the question"? i shall wallow in rebuke and bow to your senility (sorry seniority..) and try to find a thread about Knitting or darning socks. Maria.D.C.
