Not 100% certain but Y.P.A may have gone bust, I think they own or use to own a development near the new church in cabanas thats just nearing completion.

In any case they did not want to know us once they had got the commission on the sale.

Best bet would be to contact duja direct

I am a new member and I am trying to find out if anyone has sold their property through "your place abroad" to an investment fund.

It seems Y.P.A. have the phones disconnected.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction. This property should have been flipped agas ago.

Hi Alan,

I'm in the same boat as you. For the past 2 years we've heard nothing but 'next month'. Our contact there is Jason.

I've just had an email from a real estate company offering me big discounts on 2 bed and penthouse flats:

A great opportunity to purchase in our sister resort of Cabanas, this development is within walking distance to the village of Conceiçao and Cabanas. Built to high standards and all with views over the swimming pools, there are two bedroom apartments and two bedroom Penthouses with private roof terraces available.

Looks like I made the right decision!

hi karen , i too am looking for a refund ,can you let me have your solicitors name which you used any help would be much appreciated, regards gary

I even offered to pay part of the finders fee just to get into the apartment(once only) but he stood firm and went against the agreement we had. I have now booked a lnew lawyer to take Duja to court. All i wanted to do was purchase the apartment and Luis C. would not let us complete. The whole deal has been a joke.:(

how did you get on about your deposits on 2 properties? i am in exactly the same position and want to do same or get refund, gary

Hi Gary, the lawyers are PACSA & CAMEIRA and have offices in London and Lisbon. Beware, they are not cheap and pile on lots of unexpected charges.
Good luck:fingerscrossed:

Is there such a thing as a " class action " in Portugal where all affected parties sue as a joint case rather than lots of expensive individual ones ??
