Hi, been reading with interest over the past few years!!! We are in the L shaped part of golf 2. We finally completed this week and are now awaiting services. Just found out that Villapac are probably going to go into liquidation soon, guess where we have ordered our furniture from!!! Yep Villapac!! Has anybody got any info on Villapac, we have been assured we will get furniture, but not convinsed!!
I have also transfered a previous deposit (La Gomera)on to Beach 2 which I have been reassured is going ahead.
As with everybody, I have no doubt about the quality, just the delay!!
Looking forward to getting out there this summer, does anyone know how Luis is going to finish off the side where the day centre is??
Anyone got any idea how the marina and prom will look like??
Been told services will take 2 weeks does this sound realistic??

We are also in the L shaped,over the pool.No info on Villapac....we bought all our furniture in Portugal and the quality is excellent.
Originally Luis stated that Duja would be landscaping by the green fence..apparently as part of the day centre/oap home ? the council are doing gardens upto the fence.Certainly needs it and the sooner the better.

We have at least 6 months of a building site this year whilst they build...and I suppose when thats all done they'll come back at a later date and start the pool and more building work,Will it ever end ?

Our services took 3 weeks..the last one is the gas and sombody has to be there so they can do a safety check inside the apartment.

This is your entry from March.Appreciated offer re the sunbeds etc..apartments are completing but no sign of the sunbeds & mattresses.Will we have them for this summer as holiday time is here

"Just to put your minds at rest we Duja Sociedade de Construção lda are contracting a cleaning company we have already contracted a gardens&pool maintenance companies to look after of Phase 2 Phase 3 and Cabanas Beach 1, so I can give you my word that everything will be as if we had a Condominium Company in place once we have 50% of the apartments completed in each phase we with yourselves will chose the company to manage it for there on. I have requested a quotation for pool beds and mattresses for each condominium and that will be an offer from us Duja to the condominium."

Anybody any news on whether the overgrown land is ever going to be cleared....definte fire risk and no doubt a breeding ground for insects

The photo a few entries back is disappointing..no doubt most people liked the surrounding area when they agreed to buy........and then it all changes

You think you have problems. I have an apartment in Lagar we used to be overlooking a nice landscaped area around the football pitch planted with very attractive trees and behind a natural meadow.Then Royal Duja came along. We have been waiting over eight years for the promised and (agreed at time of purchase) Urb. Lagar swimming pool.
The area adjoining the council land at the junction to the entrance of cabanas golf was fenced of with a massive hoarding proclaiming future site of swimming pool for Urb. Lagar, it even had the camara's planning application approval No boldly displayed. The last we heard was that the Royal Duja group were building the pool for the Lagar developers, obviously this is not now going to happen. The proposed site is being used for building storage and the posting has been ripped down. So just give a thought to others around who have had there outlook ruined.

I agree I don't think Duja will reply
The landscaping around the Cabanas Golf development is vitually non-existant
no attempt has been made
When you think of the beautiful meadow before.
No offer of help for the years of constant cleaning of shutters windows etc has been made by Duja to anyone in the Lagar urb. and of course the years of noise and disruption.
At least we expected some attractive landscaping.

If they don't want to answer a question they pretend they haven't seen it.

There is obviously a reason why they are ignoring recent requests to provide information,people bought their apartments and local residents who were made promises that certain things would happen..but haven't.

Duja Portugal were supposed to be better ? ?

Mr Constantino will have read the last few entries ...a lack of reply makes people think that DUJA cannot be believed...if Duja are a good company managed by decent people then WHY will they not tell people whats going on.

If they are decent then expect a reply...if not then assume the worst.

Hi all just got back from apartments in Cabanas spent 5 days out there funishing them. We shipped out own furniture out there and done the two apartments oursleves. We put all lights up and got them to top speck we are very pleased with them and if anybody would like us to furniture thier's starting with picking furnitire up in UK and shipping it out there and doing all the electrics including putting all plugs on everything then please reply to my email. Finally now we are ready to rent them out!

P.S. Hopefully getting a link to show you our apartments soon. Cant wait to get back out there. :thumbup::thumbup:

I am still awaiting a reply from Duja. Is Urb. Lagar getting a swimming pool as promised on the Lagar apartments land??

Well it looks like Duja haven't the decency to reply.
A few years ago a flyer was posted to all the residents of Lagar in english and portuguese after taking legal advise regarding the lack of the promised swimming pool.The costs of the action would be kept to a minimum if a joint action was brought. The developers came back with a solicitors letter to all occupants almost immediately saying the pool is definately going to be built and no action was necessary. Obviously this was a cruel and clever tactic to stop the momentum. So the only option left is legal and Camara action. I will keep you posted.
