What was that squeezy cheese in the yellow toothpaste tube? Came out in a fancy ribbed pattern? And with ham or prawns flavour? mmmmmm

We have spray cheese here, I think you can get it with bacon flavor. I'm pretty sure prawn is a no go though.

Half the fun is getting the pics of sleeping family/friends fast asleep (and full) with their Christmas hats still on, because they forgot they were wearing them

I seriously miss a curry.....tried several places here and they are just not the same....mostly thin and tasteless...yuck!!....my son brought back Marmite (3 Huge squeezy bottles) in July, and my sister brought back from Scotland potato scones, shortbread, macaroon bars, and Thorntons toffee....so I am happy for awhile.

i REALLY miss cadburys chocolate buttons. Cant seem to find them in the usa.
Hell even cadburys made here (by hershys) just doesnt satisfy my cravings. I ended up paying $5 for a small bar from an international store.....
.....The bar is just not the same as the buttons though. Needless to say daddy is sending some over in a box. Thankgod for daddy!

I get one of those little cans of smoked oysters, put one on a Ritz cracker and give it a shot of spray cheese...

Ohhh went to World Market yesterday and stocked up on chocolate - curly wurly's, double deckers, lion bars, chunky kitkats..... good job I don't go in there too often
I remember curly wurly's being realllllllllly stringy toffee when I was growing up, now they are just REALLY chewy!!
Also got my chocolate advent calendars, and my Christmas crackers, they had tins of roses, quality street and memories, but didn't buy any of them as they would be gone before the "season of eating" is upon us!

And how about those little cocktail sausages that only come out at Christmas? And the Christmas Gateaux (sp)?
My hubby can't believe the stories of how big a deal those special Christmas foods are, and that we eat them for the whole week until the New Year.
Money was really tight when I was a kid, and a whole chicken was a big deal. But Mum would start buying tins of cream and fruit and Quality Street etc months ahead of time. She had a deal with the butcher that lived next door - she would pay for and deliver the Sunday papers for him when she got her own, and then at Christmas he would supply us with the turkey, lamb, pork and a huge ham. And then a couple of days before Christmas we would get a taxi to the big hypermarket and do the biggest food shop known to mankind All those wonderful Christmas goodies. It was exciting to really pack out the fridge, it was the only time we ever did it. Our dining room ( in the non centrally heated house) was so cold we could store all the meats in there.
Good memories, and I do miss all that grub at Christmas!
