The above is in fact a joke. I am actually with Tockalosh on this one.

Yeah, the whole attraction thing which does swing with the menstrual cycle as well. When women are ovulating, they are attracted to big and stronger males..but when they are not, they seek someone who can take care of them and who are generally more dependable. I'm not particularly romantic as my approach to this is just way too practical.
But inherently, women are survivalists..hence the handbag. And men are eternal saviours..finding the most troubled woman thinking they can change. And boy do women change over time..we men stay the same.

Nonsense. You simply cannot generalise for the genders like that.
With all the ridiculous misogynistic (sorry Millhouse but it's the right word) guff that some of you spout on this forum I am not surprised that your wives wanted divorces.

It's not generalisation, its based on observation of human behaviour. To think that any of us should deviate from natural behaviour is a bit rich. Our instincts are deeply engrained, and chemicals and hormones do influence our behaviour. Or are you suggesting we throw out scientific research on human behaviour and consider all humans as entirely individual with no recurring behavioural patterns in the name of gender equality? Where would psychology and psychiatry be today if we didn't have at least a small understanding of how the human mind works, and what influences our decisions?
Sure, it doesn't mean 100% of people will behave in said way..but how would the world work if we couldn't predict or at least anticipate behavioural patterns?

Right. This is solely because nagging isn't counted as domestic violence. Some poor guys suffer decades of nagging and denigration and then one day they snap, kick the bitch's ass and become a statistic.

Without generalisations it's very hard to compare groups of almost anything; cultures, genders, ethnicities etc without some sort of basically true generalisation (most Japanese are shorter than most Germans for example). I see a trend in many people to avoid generalisations even when they are neutral and true - why that is would be another debate I feel.
I'm going to say women on average are not as tall or strong as men and tend to live longer. Am I now a misogynist? Most men don't have as good fine motor co-ordination as women - does this mean I hate men too
Perhaps it's the way generalisations are often presented is the issue here rather than the generalisations themselves.

I don't think it's worth my time trying to explain as some of you seem determind to cast yourselves as victims, take comments out of context and have no wish to understand realities.
Shame.
Shame.
