Anyway - just been coughing in the office because the mafia sat near me are insisting on basting their desks, arms and hands in ****ing disinfectant stuff. I'm literally choking and it only makes them use more of it.

So in all seriousness, any suggestions for how long until the Saudis ban travel between UK & KSA? Have family flying in early next week and wondering whether (at enormous hassle) to try and get them to come earlier.

Looking at the numbers my prediction is that the UK will be blocked in around a week . Holland, Switzerland likely to join them .

I fear maybe even quicker than that - Spain was blocked yesterday, it has 589 cases according to WHO report. UK has 277 cases, and rising fast. Really annoying as family now likely to be stuck overseas.

Qatar with 15 reported cases is now preventing entry from 14 countries.
Qatar announced Sunday that it its temporarily banning the entry of travelers from 14 countries due to concerns over the novel coronavirus.The ban covers Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria and Thailand. Qataris were also called on not to visit the countries unless it is absolutely necessary. The statement came as the Ministry of Health reported three more cases of the coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, bringing the total to 15. The latest cases were all foreigners from the same country who were living in the same flat.
Pretty much every foreign worker in Qatar is now prevented from leaving or returning. Sort of makes Doha the worlds biggest gaol.
Seems very strange Italy, UK and USA are not on this list. No mention of Hong Kong or Macau which also make most other lists as well.

I still plan to go ahead with a Doha-London trip later this week. If that means an extended spell of remote working from the UK, or from a Qatar quarantine centre on return, then so be it; granted, not everybody will have such options.
The one regional list that the UK did make it onto today was that of Cyprus. Since this morning, Cyprus are requiring arrivals from the UK to do a compulsory 14 days in isolation. That has put the mockers on a stopover on the way back.
