I do think Crouch should have been in with a shout, but must admit, pickings are a bit thin on the ground. It'll be nice to get everything done and dusted within the first week at least and not drag on the agony.

I would have took Crouchie over Carroll on condition that he started doing the robot again.

I hear Villas Baos is favourite for the Liverpool job. I couldn't have written a better script myself.

I wouldn't mind Rafa back as he didn't finish, or was not allowed to finish, the job last time. Martin Oneil won't and we can't afford Mourinho.

Rafa peaked when he won the Ch's League. Thereafter, the team started going backwards.

I think they should get Gary Megson to take over the bindippers. He's a proven entity.

I don't see there being a rush ( despite what that tw@t Alan Hansen says ). Shame I won't be able to see Kenny though at the Liverpool AS Roma match in Boston in July.

Is it because if you change one letter in his name you get Manciti?

Edit; I'm embarrassed to admit that it's actualy Roberto Martinez who is attracting Pool's interest.

Embarrassed? Because of the loss you'll be providing Wigan by taking one of the best up and coming managers in the English league?

If I were a scouser he'd definately be my number one choice for new manager. Such an upgrade over 'King' Kenny.

I think he was embarrassed as he got the name wrong so don't take the hump.

It doesn't matter as they have so many over paid turds. Any manager will have to polish them well or they'll face ten more years in mid table hell.

Embarrassed because in a senior moment I typed Mancini when I meant Martinez. There both bloody foreigners though, so I can be forgiven.

I watched Money Ball last week. Fantastic movie.

Apparently those Yanks hired Comedy Comolli on advice from Billy Beane.

Hopefully there'll be a few goals. Munich winning by 6 or 7 goals would have me laughing all the way to bedtime.

I'm going for 3-2 to Munich (with a beer drunk for every goal scored during the match).

It's a valuable lesson being given by Chelsea: how to win the Champions League Final by doing nothing.
