To the lady from Cheadle that I met at the Atwater Market in Montreal who is a City fan...congratulations...from a die hard Man U fan.

Your husband/partner the Liverpool fan won't have much to be proud of though.

What an end to the season...when the Man U game was over, I thought they had done it and then it all quicked off @ the Man Citeh game.

Good old Joey. I hope he nevers plays in the prem again.

Bit of a season ending fizzle out for Toon today, but all in all this has been a glorious year. Weee're baaaack! Roll on Europe and here's to an even better season next year.

Just trying to think back over the highlights of the season. A bit of a ramble:

The team I really wanted to watch this season was Tottenham, some very gifted players; manager who ascended to having his head stuck in the clouds, though.

Players who cost a crazy amount and failed to perform: Torres, Carroll, Henderson, Bent.

"Bargain" players: Mclean, Ba.

Met expectations: Bale, Rooney, Hart.

Players to watch: Torre, Sessegnon, Arfa, Silva (fizzled out a bit though)

Surprise 'outstanding' season performance: Newcastle.

Best OAP: Scholes

Biggest twats of the season: Carroll, Barton & Balotelli

Story of the season: Muamba

So if the goal of the season wasn't Aguero's winner today, which one what was it??

So, do the ends justify the means?

http://beta.images.theglobeandmail.c...405550cl-8.jpg

Have City fans totally forgiven Teves his 3 month holiday? Will that be air brushed out of the official history now that City are the victors? Presumably its worth it.

Water under the bridge.

I can imagine Mancini doing some fine tuning ahead of next season re: Balotelli

I doubt he'll be that bothered. Apparently 3 years left on his contract @ 80k a week and a 250k bonus for helping keep QPR in the premier league.

I thought the Man City V QPR premier league finale was one of most thrilling finals of the premier league's 20 year history. It had me on the edge of my seat, shouting at the tv, even as a neutral fan but was willing for Man City to win.

Congrats to Man City fans on the forum. Also, I have a soft spot for Robbie Mancini, he has something about him. He is a nice, classy and dignified guy and a great manager for managing a few of those divas in his team. Mind you, his antics on the sidelines were hilarious, he reminded me of an Italian Basil Fawlty.

The premiership is such a fantastic and unpredictable league, any one of the top 4 teams could have won the top spot.

Looking forward to the Euros !

I disagree, Arsenal were never in with a shout to win the title.

Ok, point taken. I thought Newcastle were 'nearly' there in the top spot and were unlucky. Its a shame we can't have a top 5 qualifying for Champions League, they deserved to be in there as well as the toons have been superb as well
What I meant was that EPL is a generally a highly competitive league with regards to La Liga and Serie A etc.

I hope not.

It shows what a joke the Champions League has become if a team that is only the sixth best in England is allowed to qualify.

Especially one who got to the final by playing anti-football.

I believe Mourinho once described it as "parking a bus in front of goal".
