AVB cut his teeth with this bunch of bigoted geriatrics. Now, it's time for Spurs to overtake them for the next few years. The future looks pretty bright with the group they've got.

not sure if RA will become bored l am sure he will invest lmo.
bigoted geriatrics can not agree with that, l thought he cut his teeth at porto he was out of his depth at chelsea.
spurs to overtake chelsea:rofl: when did that ever happen.

It does look like they will be outlaying some serious cash. This will be helped by the sale of Modric.

We'll know by Christmas if he is any good. I am expecting another Ramos to be honest and have all but written next season off.

I am encouraged by the potential signings though and if AVB doesn't get it right the man who follows him will inherit a very talented squad.

Sigurdsson has been confirmed.

Wouldn't you say a champions league win and FA cup win trumps a place or two in the premier league?

Depends how you look at it...Spurs weren't in the CL. Chelsea did knock them out of the cup...but over the course of 38 games of the season Spurs did finish higher..so for me that makes them a better side last season.

Yes it does depend how how you look at it. Being the third best team in London isn't too bad you know......(!)

selling club.

They have always bought players and then used the premium they sell them on at to grow the club.

It has been Levy's way.

It is a sustainable business model. Once the Oligarch and Arab cash disapears so will both Chelsea and City. Small fan bases and small history.

I would have taken the cups. It does make a mockery of Europe though that a team that finishes as low as Chelsea is able to take the 4th Champions League spot. It should be solely on Premier League performance.

The only thing more ludicrous is Manchester United floating on the NYSE and transferring their corporate registration to the Cayman Islands.

I am not really fussed if they stay up or not..comes with the territory..fortunately at least they are still a real club with real supporters not like your neighbours in North London and the other team that sold out their fans in West London.
