Re: The Toon Army / EPL thread
So, who's getting up nice and early to see Tottenham put an end to Wenger's managerial rein at Arsenal?

Poor old Newcastle are looking a bit dodgy even for the other one. No biggy, that wasn't on the agenda in August anyway. The biggy is next weekend against those reed & white stripy bastards. Howay the Lads. Six points from the mackems? Priceless. |

Oh, look on the bright side. Unless Spurs go on a complete meltdown (highly unlikely IMHO) they're going to be in the Champions thingy next year.

For a team that can concede 5 goals in 28 minutes holding onto a 7 point leave to the end of the season doesn't look like a foregone conclusion. Spurs entertain Man Utd next I believe.
Clearly Spurs are better than the Mancunians. |

And furthermore, why the **** wasn't Lennon brought on at half-time to go up against Gibbs? Ridiculous.
The Newcastle game gave them an unrealistic perception of how football should be played. I would've bollocked them at half time for not tracking back and pushing too high up the pitch thinking that they are always going to score. This game was a good kick up the arse. Arsenal will lose to Liverpool on the weekend and then once Milan beat them at home they'll all be back on Wenger's case again. |

On the other hand Arsenal and Chelsea both win and Man Utd squash the marshmallows. On the bright side SAFC win to keep NUFC from closing the gap. |

:o Instead I think that makes 8 goals against in two games and third place for Spurs is by no means assured.... |
