I think he even told Sky news that he was gone. I'm quite sure he'll go for middle east payday. I liked Harry as a manager but its time to move on.
Alot of talk about AVB and Moyes. I think of the names linked so far that Martinez excites me. I'd love to see Klinsmann. |

I have mixed feelings about it. I'm not sure giving him a 3 year contract was the right thing but I would have liked to have given him another year.

I can see Rafa throwing his hat in the ring for this one now the liverpool job is off limits for sure. The circumstances would suit him, and he would do well there. Plus he could pick up Torres from Chelsea on the cheap and rehabilitate him;) |

I was suprised he went, but you cant help think Spurs started to think about life after 'arry once he was a favourite for the England job.

Rafa wouldn't be on my short list but then nor would AVB.

They missed a step there. I'd like Capello but I think his personality is too strong for Levy to handle.
If Harry was too old for a 3 year deal, then surely Capello is too old too? Rafas a lot younger, but not as inexperienced as the young up and comers. Not sure why anyone would discount him from a short list, hes experienced in Europe and the premiership, and has a good track record. Spurs could use some tactical nous. Time will tell I guess, but he seems a good match to the job. |

Much the same with Rafa. He likes to be in control, but on the other hand Levy has a track record of giving the boss money to spend, and that might be enough for him.

We're not a Liverpool or an Everton. We don't want to be mid-table dross anymore and I'm afraid thats what Rafa would bring.

He won the spanish league, twice, and not with Barcelona or Reals resources. The Liverpool squad he was consistently finishing in the top 4 of the premiership with was found to be no better than mid table by the people that followed him... Spurs honestly could do a lot worse. I suppose the real black mark against both Rafa and Capello is neither are exactly great man managers, likely to put an arm aroung a player, or give them a kick in the arse to turn things around, and after Harry, its hard to see what the current spurs squad (or those who stick around anyway) would make of them. |

Okay back in the day they were both decent teams and we was shit. I wast trying to denigrate either team its just that these days power has seemingly shifted and I don't want to go back to those dark mid-table days and I think Rafa would signal that. But we'll see. While we've finished our new training centre I really want work on our new ground to begin soon.
