Those putting us down as relegation fodder really haven't been paying attention to Laudrup's signings.

This guy is apparently close to signing too.

I think the 7 years without any form of trophy was a big reason why RVP has made the sensible decision in the end.....oh yes and the vast amount of money he will also be paid.

He should get plenty of service at his new club.

Of course if he had been fit half that time maybe they would not have gone that long without a pot.

Hell, they couldnt even beat Birmingham in the league cup, so hes not entirely without blame is he! Taken off for Bendtner, the shame of it!

The often talked about Liverpool comeback must start next week??

Great fan quote on BBC "Liverpool fans need not panic. Rodgers has proven once that he can avoid relegation, I'm sure he can do it again."

As I stated before Liverpool are not frightening at all on paper and worse on grass.

WBA were probably licking their chops after Liverpool's over hyped pre-season.

Novo ....a decent battling victory for the Toon......no idea what your manager thought he was doing  don't think he will be seeing much of the touchline during the early season

Didn't watch it ( was collecting the new puppy today ), just checked the score on my iPhone. Good grief.

As Frankie Boyle said in a Tweet, the Liverpool fans will be watching Channel 4 tonight, not MOTD.

Ah well. We'll see you at The Lane when we've got a few more pieces of the puzzle in play.

Season starts tonight I think. The favourites ( in my view ) in action. Will be interesting to see RVP as a neutral.

You have Everton down as favourites? That's a bit delusional innit?
