Just seen on t'internet that one of the bigger twunts on the team has got a suspected broken metatarsal.......could be good news for Carragher/King.

If Owen H...had played in the last month or so, he would have likely have been in the 30 or 23.

I would have added Jenas and Danny Rose.

Jags might get back in now (if Terry is indeed crocked) or even Bridge? ;)

You can all rest now...Terry's foot injury is not that bad and he'll be ready to play in the FA Cup.....

 I suppose it was too much to hope that Pompey could leap headlong out of the top flight with a final giant-killing flourish in the Cup. Congrats to Chelsea - they thoroughly outplayed a team that was at the end of its physical and emotional tether.

Oh well - here's hoping they follow the Toon's example and bounce back up after next season in the Championship. Avram Grant's suddenly being very noncommital about whether he'll stay in charge - can't say I blame him, he has no real idea who he'll be working for or whether he'll have enough cash to pay what's left of his players.

But Michael Ballack's won't.

What a pity.

Oh Christ, are the buffoons at J.P.Morgan never going to learn that the Gaussian copula function is a load of shit when applied to risk analysis?

I fancy Cote d'Ivoire.

I am expecting big things from the African nations this year. A couple of quarter finalists and maybe a first semi-finalist.

The climate and conditions will favour Brazil.

Who wants to take a bet that yet again England don't bother practicing their penalty kicks!?

I take it you've spent several Junes and Julys in both Brazil and South Africa?

Only Africa. But Brazil came through in Japan-Korea.

I think there is that rediculous stat that no European nation has ever won a world cup outside of Europe. Humidity and altitude is usually the excuse.

Another reason for failure.

Just get on and practice the damned penalties!
