Those roast potatoes look the bollox.

What type of potatoes did little tail-wagger use?

Homemade in this instance were a step too far for his culinary lesson, he would have gone into terminal teenage eye rolling mode. They were the cheat Superstore 4 minutes in the oven readymade ones but not a bad second best

They were really good- Snoop internet shops from Superstore and I think that they were just generic "Superstore whites"

I didn't know they had things like that here. I'll have to venture out to one and see what other stuff they got like that.

I was never a big fan but I did like the ones at school dinners, just a flat thing on a tray cut into slices.

Flying Rabbit.

I got the rabbit out of the freezer. When it thawed, I cut off two legs keeping one separate and two wings (hence the name) and cut the other bit in two.

In the slow cooker with some red wine mixed with chicken broth, onions, mushrooms and a club house chicken gravy mix so it wasn't totally watery.

It cooked up a treat, as I discovered today when I was getting rid of the bones. The meat fell off easily.

So that's rabbit soup and steak sandwich for supper tonight.

The single leg, I casseroled with a Jamaican curry sauce and I reheated that for lunch today.

Some Mediterranean chicken thing from Superstore. Four breasts in a sauce. On offer and then 50% as well for some unknown reason. Very nice.

They also had a Souvlaki style which we had a week or so ago which was nice enough but it was more like a marinade than a sauce and bore zero resemblance to anything 'souvlaki' style.

Local shop had some store made battered zucchini sticks which I added to the plate with carrots and spud.

I saw someone else's version of it the other day. Can't remember the name but it must have been in Walmart.

Perhaps I should get some PC brand and have them with the next beef in beer pie. Or make the beef in beer and serve the puds with it so as not to have pastry and pud.

Why not pastry and two little puds ?
Gotta say that Snoop excelled herself tonight- fabulous beef stew, big dollop of horseradish on the side and my cockles were well and truly warmed
