Thanks, but they never seem to have anything decent. I did find some of mine advertized for sale on Craigslist. I always engrave my stuff with my info so a friendly visit from a RCMP officer (who's an avid fisherman so was more than happy to help) had them returned. No prosecution though because this is Canada. :frown:

Local store had a sirloin steak reduced to $6.

Cut it into strips, fried it and then into a Kaiser bun with green pepper, onion, mushrooms and some grated cheddar over (Gouda in my case) and pop into the oven to melt the cheese.

Delicious. Fed four on that.

Not just one bun, obviously. :rofl:

We've had a ton of veg over the last few days so no guilty feelings here.

The first quarter of the Beef Tenderloin we bought a few days ago on special at Superstore.

Smothered in wholegrain dijon mustard and seasoned with a sprinkling of Montreal Steak spice. Roasted.

Roast carrots, roast spuds, green beans, my gravy.

Dollop of Horseradish sauce.

Couple of glasses of my favourite red - Kim Crawford Pinot Noir.

Brilliant.

Mother in law and stepdaughter just went back to get another one. This is the first time it's been on offer since a year ago.

Those poor vegetables; "We were in the garden across from the house, and when the farmer's wife came out with the pail and trowel we all began screaming (silently, of course), but we couldn't do anything about it, there was no way to escape, we were stuck in the ground!" Your post made me think about going deer hunting this year. :lol:

Grabbed one from Dominion myself this morning along with another lobster for supper - got to love the 4 Mothers Day weekend sales 10.99 for tenderloin and 6.77 for lobster - tempted to go back tomorrow for another one for the freezer


Quite like the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc bit pricier than my usual choice though :)

Uh...you mean you ate a whole one? :ohmy: Or did they have smaller ones?
Prefer the Chardonnay but Pinot Noir even more. KC worth the extra I reckon.

You do know, I'm sure, that you must be careful how well you feed the kids. If it's as good as this they'll never leave home. I asked one of my friend's kids recently if he was thinking of going out on his own anytime soon. His reply basically was 'Are you nuts, I've got it made here, great food, great laundry facilities and I always make sure any girl I fancy has her own place for the nocturnal activities'.
