I made it again, the same way, and it wasn't fit to lace the first one's boots. The second one has put me off trying again since. :( |
Re: Teatime Choices
In observance of the sabbath I'm having wings, alcoholic beverages and old war movies. A splash of bourbon and pat of butter in the final Buffalo sauce finishes them off.

Re: Teatime Choices
We had roast beef, home made Yorkies, mushy peas that were cooked from scratch. cabbage, carrots, green beans and gravy. No room for a pud.

Re: Teatime Choices
As HID is away, I'm planning on having some tasty Japanese appetizers and then the naff-off chef's choice sashimi and a couple of well deserved big bottles of Orion beer. Then I'm going down the boozer. ;)

Re: Teatime Choices
I'm going to make my African peanut butter chicken stew, I have the peppers and mushrooms... darn, missing a sweet potato but I can just use a few spuds and carrots instead. The recipe came courtesy of a Ugandan Interpol agent who was taking a course at the RCMP academy back around '71. He served it over noodles at our house back then but I usually have rice instead.

I adore that meal! Had it at the house of a Gambian acquaintance in The Gambia. It was made with smoked fish. Do you use coconut milk and chicken stock and scotch bonnet peppers? I grow my own scotch bonnets just for this dish.

About to sit down to a nice roast pork - bit of crackling looks good too.
