This thread is making me drool

We are in the process of selling our house so I haven't been able to cook my fav for a while as I didn't want to stink the house out, but no showings now for the rest of week. So I'm having curry tonight and the house will probably smell like an Indian restaurant for the next two days :D

I am baking a half chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese in the toaster oven. Leetle oregano, lemon and s&p. I had sausage, chips, eggs, beans and rye toast for lunch so no heroics tonight.

I'm having deer sausage and fried cabbage with onions and garlic and toast. Fair warning to those sharing the airplane with me tomorrow! Maybe takeout from Green Lettuce in Surrey tomorrow night, oh boy oh boy oh boy.
Edit: Oh man was that ever good! I'm thankful for my portion of peasant blood right now.

Cabbbage again? Oh yes! Curried chicken and cabbage with green and yellow onions and some minced garlic from a jar (I think I like it) and rinsed out the ketchup bottle into the Madras roux so it's tomato too. Naturally it got some Cholula sauce (that's the Mexican one with the wooden ball on top for a cap), and chili flakes. I'll cook rice, no rush.

You're having a bit of an early tea? Are you old?

I'm only 58, but recovering from an operation last Thursday so have my arm in a sling and can't work so there aren't as many rules as usual. If my surgeon says yes on the 13th I can go out to Oliver to recover and get my physio there. This sauce is so good I've had to make a serious effort not to eat it all out of the pan.

Anyway I like chicken curry but I'm not too sure about the cabbage though.

It's good, I think there's lots of things you can sneak cabbage into and not recognize it, but spicy things tend to be complimented by cabbage.
