Re: Teatime Choices
Your thinking of tonight already !?
The only thing I can be sure of this evening will be a glass of :drinkwine: or a  No idea what we will be having to eat. May just have some cheeses, crackers, chutney with some pate. Hmmm. Now that's got me thinking should I get a bottle of port  |
Re: Teatime Choices
Good plan Animal! Chicken livers shall be bought and pate shall be made, (bacon, chives, butter, pepper, thyme, leetle wine), regardless of teatime choices the mid-afternoon picnic is always a good place to start. I have olives, chorizo, cheese. I'm on a bit of an austerity program right now but the bottle of Danzante chianti in the cupboard is a fine drink paired with all sorts of little goodies.

Re: Teatime Choices
I can make pate tomorrow 'cause I bought 2 packs, I had a big garden salad then fried bacon and new potatoes and chicken livers fried in bacon fat with salsa and Huy Fong chili garlic, (zack lee) sauce. Just as I dug in the wood chipper scene in Fargo was playing on the big screen. Mmmmmmmmm.

Will check. Actually Guardian has just done a top ten curries recipes today. We usually just use Pataks, but really ought to try harder.
http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandst...-massaman-lamb Once you get the basic concept down its all quite easy. Critical equipment, cheap coffee grinder, cheap blender, wok with lid, cheap jars from a dollar store for your spices, don't forget to label them. A trip to an Indian supermarket to buy the stuff otherwise it'll cost a fortune. Then be on the look out for tins of tomato sauce and coconut milk on sale and stock up. :) |
