Oh you poor thing but still, freshly brined and smoked can't be bad. I hope you used lots of fresh ginger in your brine, I find it really adds something special. Anyway good luck with your smoking.

Ginger brine for salmon noted, thanks, I find salmon only takes half the salt our fish here need.
See Twin Town? Fatty says hotdogs for tea! (Actually M&M smokies and Dempsters large sesame buns). And beer and rumanddietcoke.

The thing about smoking is that there are hundreds of different recipes for brining, everyone has their own swear-by one. You'll just have to experiment to find the right flavour/moisture/crust you like.

No, not predominantly ginger, but I do like some grated/minced (ooh vicar) fresh stuff in the mixture. Some people don't though. Its just matter of taste.

I'm boiling a picnic ham, and little baby onions in cheese and parsley sauce, with green beans and mashed potatoes. I can't find my really big pan, so have had to shoehorn the thing in a non Appropriate pot.

I had a sausage sandwich while HID went and had some fancy meal that's effectively paid for by the Canadian tax payers. She never even bringed me nothing nice from it.

You'd have thought she'd have stuffed a bit of something good in her bag!

I've got Toad in the Hole with onion gravy, it's been hurling down all day here and is freezing, sod summer, tonight calls for comfort food!

Cheez Whiz and onion sandwiches on toasted light rye. X2. It's Saturday afternoon, why are there no cartoons on?

It's going to be a toss-up between chicken whatever and calamari and chips. Oh I love food so much.
