Some years ago I used to buy what I believe was called a green pepper sauce. Maille produced it (but there is absolutely no sign of it on their website) and it's not a mustard nor one of those splash style ones. Sainsburys also did a nice version.

Anyway, there's no sign of it here, among the Maille jars (although I did get one in Montreal about 10 years ago) and 'Caretaker' suggested I mix Salsa Verde with Mayo. It does the trick.

I just googled and Maille may now be producing a jar of pepper sauce that might be good, so I'll investigate further.

In the meantime, mayo/salsa verde mixed - I did about 50/50 - on potato is fantastic.
Try mixing a teaspoon of each and adding to some spud. Baked, boiled, mashed.

To make the seafood sauce/fake tartar, mix 2 parts mayo (or the similar salad dressing if you don't want all that fat) to 1 part or less sweet green relish (but feel free to try any relish), and add a squeeze of lemon or lime. That's what I put on my oysters.

Not as good as a Mad Tom IPA

Absolutely not. Too much lager in the selection for my liking.

My Salmon Alfredo cheat.

Doesn't have to be expensive fish. Even cheap breaded stuff works well.
Classico sauces and those from Sobeys/Loblaws all work well. There's even a very nice Walmart one.

I do find the sauce a bit strong so I add cream of mushroom soup to the fish, onion, mushroom, sauce mix right near the end.

It's really very nice. Works with ham instead of fish too.

Now having some lovely Stilton with crackers.

Gigi's baked lasagna with extra cheese and extra meat sauce. It came with complimentary garlic bread.

A large special salad for HID.

Its my birthday dinner tonight so we're off to Gotham Steak House, so its going to be a nice starter and then a big naff off steak and king crab legs, birthday cake and then cheese, all washed down with a couple bottles of posh red wine. We'll be taking a taxi.
