Re: Teatime Choices
Sweet potato fries in oven. That seems to be the common method.
As far as oven chips go, I agree that's a sin. But Actifry chips can be just as good as fried. Not as good as chip shop fried, granted, but as good as fried at home. That's why we got rid of the fryer as it was unnecessary - and messy.
And the Actifry does great roast spuds, roast carrots/parsnips, very good for perogies, pogos, asparagus, some chicken things....

Re: Teatime Choices
HID has gone to a conference in Sydney. She'll be gone for nearly a week. I'm rather overwhelmed with the myriad of takeaway options for my tea tonight. In the UK it would be simple, pie and mash or down the boozer for sausages and chips in a basket. But now, everybody's gone middle class, with all this artisanal rambo pho poke sushi avocado super toast, it's enough to drive you to despair.

A big plate of BC spot prawns while I watch NZ destroy England in the cricket. 58 all out in 20 overs ffs.

St Hubert tourtiere and beer, maybe a little cheese. I got a package of Balderson's cheese from work today.
