Anderson looking good. Well done to Broad for making the honours board in bowling and batting. As always nothing wrong with our bowlers - see what our batting looks like.....

Nice century for Strauss. Good quality feed from Sky too. Perfect

Well played Strauss and Broad for finishing the WI innings as fast as humanly possible.
Did any of our Toronto subscribers make it to the ill fated T20 there this week ?

Sadly, instead of promoting the great game here, this kind of farce will push it back

It was good to see Strauss get in the runs. That'll take the pressure off him for the rest of the summer so he can concentrate on captaining. Thought the Windies bowlers were very disciplined and fast but couldn't get any swing at all.
The Sky feed was good, there was a nice piece on Alec Stewart at lunch. Although I must say I'd like to smash that Nick Knight in the gob. He such a creep. Missed Beefty today.

Well that was a pleasant enough morning. A bit of a scare last night and early on this morning but Cook and Bell basically saw us through. Roll on Friday.

Broad is plenty good enough to come in at 8. If Bresnan is good enough to go in at 6 then excellent, 5 bowlers all the way. Finn has too much potential to leave out and Broad, Anderson need some back up, if the other is not performing.

I know one of the kiwi players who went left his newborn to play and took a 46 hour flight to get to Canada. This is rubbish. Boooo, cricket canada.

Well, that is the first part of the summer wrapped up nicely with one test to go (barring the obligatory endless round of one day nonsense).
I know Oink would favour playing Finn (presumably for Broad or Anderson). Anybody fancy any other changes ? Or should we stick with the winning formula?

Agreed. As a Yorkshireman, I'd love to see JB flourish, but he isn't the finished article yet. I'd be tempted to plump for Compton - older player, in the form of his life.....
