We all love Monty but; if playing only 4 bowlers, 2 spinners is a bit of a luxury.
Also Finn is becoming what we have been searching for since Harmy became shit

England are just about to start their Twenty20 innings. 145 to win.

Well, at least we finished on a high.

I'd have traded the silly hit & giggle T20 wins for some success in the Tests, but I guess that's just me being grumpy old cricket fan and not a hip young thing into all the showbiz stuff.

Roll on Sri Lanka. Anybody else thinks Mr Morgan has earned himself a few extra weeks at home with the family after that nightmare of a tour... ?

Broady on his way home Expect to see Bresnan picked for the second test, to bolster the batting. Regardless of the fact that Finn could well be a genuine world class quick.

One could argue that Finn and Broad are too similar and that Bresnan would be a welcome change, although I doubt if they'll play 3 pace bowlers. To collapse like the last match after Trott had put them in with a good shout, was disheartening.

One could also argue that the windies needn't have played Ambrose and Walsh as they were too similar.

I don't think we scored enough first innings last time out.

I'll probably jinx it but it looks like a solid start again for England on day 3 of the last test.

I don't think you jinxed KP. What's your view on the switch hit fracas ? If the batsman is brave enough...let 'em.

Pitch sounds like some uneven bouce - should be good for Finn with turn for Swann / Patel.

Personally, I think including Time 'lucky talisman' Bresan was the key - when skill fails, rely on superstition.
