Just started day 7 of Champix. It deffo reduces the urge to smoke and takes away the pleasure (hit) when having one. Have cut down on the amount I smoke without really trying, 5 more days to quit day.
Not noticed any side effects of medication so far, have to double the dose tomorrow.

funny that James said he wanted to tape my mouth up as well
enfact he tells me that all the time
when he has a right go telling me if god wanted me to smoke I would have a chimney on my head
so I hit back with and if god wanted him to drive everywhere he would have been born with wheels for feet.I used that ziban MAN those really went for me
I was shaking and could not walk right and some clown asked me if I had a good night the night before
took ages for the penny to drop
so for me its cut down as Im not going to kid myself on cos I know Im not able to just stop.if I cut down and take it from there who knows

take it you have never smoked
when you start smoking as a kid you dont know the risks and before you know it your hooked and its not so easy to give the weed up and its not for the lack of trying hell I know
some people are stronger than others and me well Im holding my hands up Im a hopeless case but I wont stop trying to give up
even if it means starting off cutting down Im not going to kid myself on and say I can quit just like that cos I cant

hey kate
tried the patches, tried the inhaler, hated the chewing gum, went on champix and wow do they work, still have the cravings to a point, mostly when i think about it
ONE thing ive noticed is that i hate coffee, saw a friend today that i haven seen for a few weeks and she was well impressed id stopped, she asked if i wanted a brew, yeah tea please
what u drink 20 million cups of coffee a day was her reply, but for the last few days i cant touch coffee, hate the stuff
also anyone who smokes, hate them (sorry kate), but cant do with the smell, makes me feel sick, must be the champix
but hey still no fags, good job really they have got rid of the smoke rooms at the airport

you can do it Kate, i cut down first, maybe try limiting yourself to 25 ciggies a day for a week then 20 a day for the next week. Then maybe don't smoke in the house etc,
Don't be too hard on yourself at first, if it takes you 6 months, so what the end result is what matters.
