Dinner. Eat as much as you want and whatever you want between 5pm - 6pm and then fast for 23hrs. So much easier than worrying about what you can or cannot eat. I normally eat pretty good though, meat and veggies, plate of fruit, no processed food and I also take a multi vitamin supplement.
I was never fat but I was definitely carrying a spare tire. In the end I lost 40lb in 5 months, about 2lb a week. Now I only fast Mon - Fri and eat breakfast and lunch with the family on the weekend. When you think you are hungry, have a black coffee, works a treat. |

I would not make it 11 hours without eating through the day. I do skip dinner though, home at 415p and in bed by 615 so not worth eating a meal. On another note, I have never voted in person at a polling station. I have voted in every election since I became eligible in 1997, but always voted by mail. |

You would be surprised how easy it is to get to noon without eating if you want to. Breakfast is just a habit. Very well ingrained in most of us, and encouraged by pseudo-science. Having said that, nothing wrong with a good breakfast to start the day, especially if there are no weight issues.
Its really the only meal I eat, ill have a couple light snacks like cheese sticks or mixed nuts afterwards. Not enough time from when I get home and bedtime to fuss with dinner. Depending on traffic on a good day ill have 2 hours from arriving home and bedtime most days its closer to 90.mins. |

Suppose if take that 7am is 4 hours into my day, its like 1pm for a 9 to 5 worker so its really lunch for me and not breakfast.

The working is good. I am just not sure I will have long term success without DBT and therapy. I just want to have the skills necessary to feel better and need a professional to talk to and work through issues that hold me back. |

I cannot beleive how many people post on news comments about how someone is guilty and doesnt need a trial and should be no trial to save money cause ya know they are guilty and trial is a waste of money.

No idea on their coffee as I dont like coffee. I don't care for Tim Hortons at all - although the dark roast is good and a fruit explosion muffin saw me through many full days at the hospital. I've had over a month's worth of experience of the one at the hospital, regular experience of another one about 7 years ago and minimal experience of two others. Everything fresh as a daisy. But their donuts are better than Dunkin Donuts. Mind you, that's not saying much and Superstore does the best jam/jelly donuts. Trouble is, they rarely have them. What the hell is wrong that nobody can sell a good jam donut. Maybe if they spelt it properly as doughnut they'd improve. |

They were not big on the west coast when I left California. Most donut places are independents and dont bake their donuts, baked donuts are not good donuts. Lol Closest decent donut place I have found in Vancouver is Duffins but still not as good as the places back home. |

Agreed. Canadians seem to be catching on as well.

Love expresso (known as black coffee by Italians in NYC) but I rather go without then drink any coffee from Starbucks. Also I don't like the coffee in Europe either.

I must say I do not completely agree with that. What do you consider a living wage? That should be about 44k a year after taxes. Using our below market rate rent which is 21k per year, that would leave about 23k a year to cover everything else. |

For this area you need at least 30/hr to rent and be somewhat comfortable. Wont be living the high life but will be able to meet basic needs and save some for a rainy day/retirement.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I notice most if not all in the video were well paid professionals. One guy says they live in 23k a year, we pay 21k a year just in rent. We are always looking out for something lower rent but not much out there these days. My buggest reason for wanting more income right now is so I can pay for long term therapy and group programs to help deal with my issues. Its the only way to have a true life, likely will never happen but its why. Money is the only hurdle to getting long term treatment. Edit: shard replied while I was editing my post hence the difference. |

Interestimg video.
I notice most if not all in the video were well paid professionals. One guy saving 50 to 70% of his income which isnt going to be an option unless you have a high enough wage to start with. |

Yes, he's probably an extreme case, but the other side of the equation is frugality. It's interesting that young people are opting for this lifestyle. Might be easier in Colorado than BC though.
End of the day money is the only way for me to remotely have a life as money is the only way to access therapy long term and work through issues. Its the biggest reason why I become so frustrated. Therapy will also hopefully help with making better decisions which will hopefully lead to better life. Time is not on my side though. I still cant decide if quitting the short group I was in to go to work was the best decision but then if no work we would not survive and have a place to live. I just wasnt able to get the right day off and I could not get a group day that was on my day off. I regret quitting but not sure there was any other option. |
